Cannot Release Coaches

Every time I go to release a coach, the game prompts me to answer yes or no to if I want to release this coach: “Are you sure you want to let go of this coach? Doing this means you’ll have to pay a $XXX cancellation fee.

But the game freezes at this point and won’t let me select yes or no. I still hear the music, and the game doesn’t quit, but I cannot make a selection without exiting the game manually and restarting it, losing the current progress prior to the last save.

This issue needs to be resolved ASAP because I can’t hire new coaches without removing old ones, and there’s a limit to the number of coaches.
