Can't sign in to companion app with an underage account

Question

My son is signed in using an underage account on his xbox, and is trying to use the companion app on his phone, but the only options to log in to the fc24 companion app is email or phone. Because it's an underage app there is no email - just a username. I've tried adding his phone number so we can use this but it won't let him. He has it linked to his Xbox account - is there a way around this?

@77b4e5fde9e0ec86 He needs to be logging in with the email on the EA account. Not the email for his Xbox account.

If he is set up as a child account under yours and he's under the age of 13, he won't be able to play any multiplayer modes. This is in compliance with COPPA regulations. He won't be able to use the companion app in this case as his email would be obscured to comply with those regulations.

@77b4e5fde9e0ec86&nbsp;Yes,&nbsp;Once your child has reached the minimum age in their country or region, they’ll get a pop-up notification every time they log in to the EA app to let them know it's time to age up. Once you upgrade your child’s account to a teen account, they can add their own email address. More details check this helpful article.&nbsp;
