EA FC 24 freezing and speeding up

Hi everyone,

My game has been lagging/freezing for few seconds then speeding up until it gets back to normal, this happens around 5 times a game. It is nothing to do with my connection as I clearly can see that it is fine, the game freezes and it muffles it self down a bit, I can still hear the commentators, but simply I freeze out and run in one direction with a ball until I'm back. 

I play on PC, somewhat of an older computer 16gb ram, I5 1600, GTX 1060 6gb, phad similar issue with Fifa 22.

Unsure if anyone can help as I seen one or two more posts regarding this but no fix so far.
