EA24 - can't invite friends

Can anyone help as its driving me mad....bought EAFC24 for my son on Xbox, we have Game Pass ultimate and an EA account which shows as linked.  He has added friends and can see them in the social hub as online but when he selects online friendlies it says Add your mates in FC or on Co-op play it says Add friends with Ultimate Team Clubs so no option to invite anyone.  Also it shows the friends online as 0 whereas we can see them online playing EAFC24 in the friends list.

Any help much appreciated as Im losing the will!

    Hey there @scottimang 

    I have had a similar problem.  I got my friend to "Remove me as an EA friend" and then we both logged out of the game.  We then restarted the game and then I used Player Search and added my friend then the invite option worked.

    It must be bugged because it happens a lot, me and my friend repeat this process every so often as it doesn't seem to recognize that we are friends. Also make sure that you are all appearing online. Remove friend, log out, then add friend and repeat.

    Unfortunately EA have no sympathy for people with issues in their game.

    I've seen countless tickets with this issue, and people raging about it.

    And typical EA are just sat there adding a new Salah card instead, their cosmetic CS team must have been let go or on the verge of being made redundant with this lacking effort from them :/
