The formation 5221 has 2 x CM's, 1 ST, LW and RW. Yet when you look at it in game it has changed to; 2 CDM's, 2 CAM, and a ST.
What's going on there then?

I've just created a new squad, chose the formation, didn't touch anything else at all, and it has changed. Kick off, go to team management, then formations, it tells you that you are playing with CAM's. I'm 68 in a few weeks, so i am not some kiddie complaining about a bug. I'm just reporting something that isn't right. It's not the end of the world.
Have you tried it yourself? Very odd.
Since it’s offline I am not sure why someone would suggest it’s your connection.
While it’s possible it’s a bug there was also a time when formation were not the same in fut compared to offline. I can’t remember why that was it could have been chemistry reasons or because 5222 offline with cams and cdms is to defensive for fut. you are right in kick off it shows it as a different formation intentional or bug I dunno.
I get a problem with all default 41212 narrow, it starts fine but if I change dpad tactics they all turn to 442.

EA don't care about this or most of the other bugs.
I refuse now to give the old men in suits money.
They are literally laughing at you all.
If you bought something from a shop and it didn't work as intended, you would take it back to the shop.
It then would not take long for the product to be taken off the shelves, or actually be improved.
