I'm sorry to say but EA simply don't care. They've made everyone gambling addicts via UT. As soon as UT became the main thing, everything else went out the window. Good, bad or indifferent gameplay, it doesn't matter as they know/knew people would still buy the games as they're hooked on buying packs.
Im tired of getting tackles with my defenders and either the attacker continues unfazed or now is in even better position to score.
Im tired of getting tackles that fall directly at the feet of another attacker.
Im tired of breaking down these spammy ratty players this game breeds only for them to come from 10 yards behind me and tackle me between the time I press circle to shoot and actually shoot.
Im tired of my offensive AI doing unexplainable dumb things like my ST dropping back in building up even though he should be getting in behind according to instructions.
Im tired of my back line in spite of my instructions to step up BACK away from a single attacker in my box to go stand and mark GRASS.
Im tired of having a back line let people onside because someone is backtracking for NO reason.
Im tired of having a back line open up passing lanes and not getting easy interceptions regardless of their instructions.
I’m tired of using a shield ball mechanic with a big strong player and getting knocked off the ball or tripped up when not moving by a player half his size running full speed at my back.
I’m tired of all my players regardless of stats moving like they’re on ice even when not using turbo so it’s impossible to deal with turn merchants without bringing a second player.
Im tired of these poor skill-less players who are only good at manual switching and spamming circle. Beating one getting swarmed, pass the ball, getting swarmed, switch play, getting swarm, beat the swarm, getting swarm AND somehow through all of this still be holding their shape and marking my passing options tightly.
im tired of my skill moves and passes being delayed bc the game mechanics are going to force me to concede a tackle.
Im tired of finally picking these sweaty rats apart with a nice lobbed ball only for them to full sprint from 20 yards away and spam circle around me before I can take my first touch because the touches are terrible regardless of how high the characters ball control or volley stat is.
Im tired of people spinning around outside the box and whipping in a finesse shot or trivela just bc they have the play style+.
Im tired of being in the right position, pressing the right button, and not getting deflections or interceptions. Even when I do getting a deflection it will ironically either land at another attackers foot in stride or go out of bounds 90% of the time.
Im really just tired of this game man and hoping EA Sports drops a tuning update immediately. Can we go back to the days where the game took some skill to be good ? I’m tired of playing guys who just aren’t that good, but I coincidentally have those issues above. I didn’t buy in to DDA/Scripting/Handicap idea too much but the way some of these things happen and when they happen, it’s hard for me to believe EA sports is really committed to “Fair Play”.
Perks were a cover for what every one already knew was programmed in to the game. Not they call it playstyles+
All of the above. This game is trash.
I was OK on 21, usually in Div 1 or 2, could put together so good moves, score some excellent goals, and feel in control of my players.
This is just HOPING my players making a pass or two, rare. Or actually tackle, rather than lunge about 10 yards away from an attacker. Or turn faster than a oil tanker in the Suez Canal.
It's insanely bad and I've no idea how other people manage to play this game. 😕
I would genuinely check out Operation Sports and Matt10 sliders for the game.
They have pretty much save what would have been a car crash of a game.
