Except that EA doesn't even patch out huge bugs in the game. Career mode has had sliders that reset to default on all platforms, and through the length of FIFA 23 being out, EA has never fixed it.
This means every time I power off my Playstation or play a different game, when I re-open FIFA 23 I have to manually go in and enter all of my slider values. And it's not like that goes quickly, because EA can't add the ability to just type in the number value. Instead I have to sit there and manually drag each slider into position, then do it all again the next day because EA can't be bothered to fix an issue in their $60 game.
It's one thing to have bugs slip through, or bugs get introduced. That's just the cost of doing business. But for EA to have a bug that has been widely reported on here with a thread that went 22 pages before EA's community managers apparently just stopped responding, and elsewhere on the internet, is unacceptable. It just shows that the company doesn't care about the parts of the game that don't generate constant revenue, like their online play and UT packs. Ultimate Team has been the biggest cause of EA sports titles to go downhill for everyone who doesn't play online.
This doesn't even touch other bugs, like doing the highlights mode and having the game just glitch out before the ball goes in the net, the faceoff bug where your players just stand still forever or any of the other bugs. I get that those can be tough to track down, and those systems generally work the majority of the time. But the slider bug is legitimately a bug that happens more often than not.
