How to defend on glue ball players ?

since they put this feature, to defend on players is very hard. How can we take the ball ? It’s not VOLTA RIGHT !!!!!

I don’t know why when we use O with a more stronger player into a thick & weak player they stay up. 

And in the pro club mode the IA players are too slow to catch player with a high speed. In the lasts fifa it’s was adapted but since they put game styles the game has became too complicated.

  • defending needs fixed it’s totally unrealistic at the moment with how overpowered LS dribbling is

    Defending in this game has been crap for over 3+ years.  I am sorry but how can I tackle, get the ball, and press the pass button only for the person who got tackled, and fell down, gets up, retackles the ball and keeps going.  Realistic?  Heck no.  Or all the bad touches just because you are a defender.  Or having your rating drop for the ball being on the opposite side of the pitch leaving you nothing to do but watch your rating go down the drain.  Or if you manual jockey and the attacker stops on a dime and changes direction but even if you time the movement just right for their switch, you still run 3 yards to far and have to double back....

    The list goes on and on and it's been like this for years.  I could even give examples but this subject has been beaten into the ground harder than how messed up EA's servers are.

  • Actually defend in FIFA23 is already improved a lot compare to FIFA22, but in FC24 they just move backward

    @3eyesfan If you play in Pro Clubs, it took less than 5 minutes to hit the game clock for a rating to go from 6.0 to 5.9. That's about enough time in real life for the kickoff and the FWD's to start pushing the ball up field.

    This morning, I was just infront of a FWD and we were both running for the ball. The FWD? 5'5", my DEF? 6'2". We get close to the ball and I extended my leg out to pass back to the goalie. What actually happened? My leg got outstretch with me leaning back pushing against the FWD. As we get near the ball, the FWD got a speed boost, PUSHED past me, got the ball and kept running. My DEF is 174 lbs, there should be nothing like this when they had 40% stamina left and I had at least 80% overalls. That FWD took 3 steps and got injured from Stamina Burn.

    This is only one example of why Defending is broken in this game. At least GK do better at protecting the net than last year.
