Input Delay

Input Lag Issue

I'm hoping for a fix for my input lag issue on Xbox as I'm tearing my hair out now almost every game without a solution 

So my setup is on Xbox Series X on a 50" 4K TV

Wired full fibre Internet 

I have tried to change/test the following to see what's causing the issue to no avail

Changing the TV

Playing after Resetting modem

Wired/wireless connection

Playing at night/day

Playing alone/when there's people at home

Changing Internet provider(not specifically for this I'm not that desperate)

Different controllers 

Changing TV settings 

Changing DNS (tried all the big boys)

Xbox Series X and Xbox One versions of EAFC

I'm an elite div player despite the problem so not a skill issue

To minimal difference in anything. 9/10 games I play I have at least a 1 second delay in my players doing anything and I'm on the brink of giving up. But I do enjoy this game and just want to play with a fair connection, so any advice is appreciated, EA Connection score attached also

    It sounds like connection issues @arsenality so let's start by taking a look here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/problems-playing-online/

    You also need to ensure that you are playing with your TV set to game mode and all the additional TV bells and whistles turned off.

    There can be cases where it simply is a result of the line into your home having issues and no matter the provider you'll see issues.


    No harm in having your line tested by your ISP.

    Hi Darko

    Have done all the reccomended changes and tests to no difference, I've even tried on a different TV

    Line tested conducted by my current and previous ISP found no issues either, appreciate any further advice/assistance please

    You will need to continue troubleshooting on your end @arsenality and trying different things.

    This is definitely an issue being caused by your side, I get no lag when I play any other game, can my account and my connection to your servers be checked in anyway please?

    It’s not your fault. Everyone experiences it. This message board is littered with comments exactly like yours. It’s an FC issue. 

    I have my ping displayed on screen. There’s times where it’ll be my best reading ever and there’s still a delay —— and other times when my reading is worse and the game feels completely smooth. 

    ‘what we’re all experiencing is DDA at its finest. 

    it’s obvious to anyone playing the game….we feel it instantly. We know when our players randomly get pulled out of position or inputs start to lag - all while your connection remains consistent.

    EA knows this and they just don’t fix it because it’s literally built into the game.
