Kick off glitch

Anyone that abuses the kick off glitch in this game you need a life and to re-think it absolutely pathetic and a cheap way of playing im fed up of the same sad people with no life abuse broken * in this game to get cheap goals it unfair for the players THAT ACTUALLY want to play the game and not abuse *
Please fix this game this shouldnt be in the game and how it is with the state of play i honestly do not understand how people find playing this same AS EVERYONE ELSE can are people that pathetic they need to abuse cheap ways of winning to win games sad *.

  • @xJustMattx Totally agree! The amount of people who use that is unreal. I have no idea why EA haven't closed that glitch. Just fought back to draw 4-4 with someone with the equaliser in 91st minute, they kicked off and scored straight away to win the game. It's just cheating at it's very best. I don't mind losing a match fairly, but to lose cos some saddo has exploited the game is just sickening. I've played in a few games where the opponent hasn't done anything apart from defend, then as soon as I score, they score straight after using that glitch

I agree that EA need to sort out this running from kick off goal issue that has been about for a while.

In the meantime. Drag one of the players from either side of the centre circle to the CM position before they kick off. The key then is to engage with the opponent if they are about to start a direct run at goal BUT... do not lunge in. Hold position and stick with them. You need to stay goal side and do not let get around you towards your goal.

They will eventually run out of space and look for a pass or you will steal the ball back.

Not saying it is going to always save you. These are scored in real life very rarely but it is possible.

Going forwards EA needs to seriously tone down this direct run from kick off.

For now though,  stay strong and defend it best you can. Crowd them out.

@blue166 I have managed to stop them a few times. It's just frustrating when they manage to get through and score. From my experience playing this game, you seem to be most vulnerable after you score. As soon as they are about to kick off I am wondering if they are going to attempt a kick off goal or not. I breathe a sigh of relief when they pass the ball back to their defence. It's annoying when I am there trying to carve out a goal and possibly get something from the game and your opponent exploits a glitch to get a cheap and easy goal. I know I could probably exploit the glitch myself, but I would rather win, lose or draw fairly.

A lot of people do try this method on me. Even when not successful they still keep pursuing it. EA could do with introducing more errors into running directly with the ball from kick off rather than buffing dribbling.

Don't forget a slide tackle here and there and even the hard tackle.

@blue166 It's a total rat move. Just played two people in a row who tried it. One managed to score so I waited until they had a corner and paused the game as they were about to take it and let the clock run down then paused it again, let the clock run down and then again for good measure. I figured if you need the point that badly then you can wait for it, I have all the time in the world. I played one opponent a few nights ago and he kept trying it but I was successful in getting the ball off his player everytime, one of those times I managed to go up to the other end of the pitch and scored. It didn't deter him though, he rage quit in the end, because I was winning 4-0 and I'd managed to stop his player from exploiting the glitch 5 times including the kick off at the start of the match.

@blue166 Ok so I have been looking at the locations of the opponents I have faced who use the kick off glitch, I've not played against  a single UK based player who has used it against me. Russia and Spanish based players seem to be the worse culprits, a few France based players have used it but not as much as Spain and Russia.

It's become a little side game to guess the location of my opponent when the glitch is used.

Ok so now into July 2024 and French opponents use it a lot. Nine times out of ten, if I am playing against an opponent in France, they will use the kick off glitch. It's like it's the only way they can win or something...by cheating. There should be something in online seasons matchmaking where you can opt to not play against players in specific locations.

@MikeBru2102   How do you find the location of the opponents you have been playing?  Do you know if there is a way to find out the location of the server you have connected to?

@GSM350 the section below where it says Play Match, click on that and it will show your past results, click on one of your past results and there will be a flag next to your previous opponents name
