Hi,my ping is an average of 50ms. Playing for a while now makes me realize the game is really unfair. I can’t win from players with lower ping since my players just don’t move as fast (input delay). examples:- when I try to make a run with a player by pressing L1 the opponents defenders always prevent my run.- dribbling with higher ping is impossible if the opponents defenders react faster then I can dribble.- defending is the worst, his dribbling will always result successfully, since my defender isn’t reacting fast enough.these things considered makes the game totally unfair. why when I play Call of Duty everyone has the same speed and I don’t notice any difference, but it’s so obvious playing fifa?

@Thijsekk I’ve had the same issue myself & also with the previous 2 editions of the game. Every other online game I play (and there are a few) don’t suffer any lag/delay. I’ve tried all the ‘quick fixes’ people have mentioned but nothing helps it. Spoils the enjoyment of the game if your players are running from a standing start in quicksand!

i had the same problem till i bought a wifi 6 router and dongle my old one was a wifi5

@mrmakaveli702 already have a wifi6 router.it's all about the ping being to high for your players to make effective runs.They always seem to be 'outsmarted' by the opponents ai because they just respond faster on higher ping.

I hope nobody is suggesting that anyone with stable Internet and low latency be punished to accommodate people who don't, or for people that use unstable wifi?There's reasons why Fifa/EAFC games react differently to latency, when compared to games like COD. It's been covered in articles over the years quite a few times.EA already have network smoothing, but that ends up punishing people with better connections, which at least in my opinion shouldn't be implemented.50ms isn't even that high, and anything under 60/70ms is more than playable. 20-30ms delay is not going to be the difference between being great or struggling hard. People need to learn to play within their connection limit, or look at ways to lower their ping.Avoiding WiFi entirely is a good start.Let not punish the majority of players because the minority chose to use wifi, or are unfortunate when it comes to their location. The only remotely 'fair' way would be to match people with poor pings against other people with poor pings. @GoonerB This simply isn’t true. The gameplay is noticeably sluggish. I always play matches between 20-50 ping at different locations. Most of the matches I’ve played on the last 2 editions have been between 20-35. It affects everything from dribbling, passing, shooting, and tackling. You’re flat out wrong.More so this year than last year, I rarely get games that feel right. It’s so rare that I immediately notice the difference. Unfortunately, most times I do it’s only at either the start of the match or end of the match.

It’s not true, I play on a hardwired connection, 500 up and down. And every game I play I get connection issues with sluggish game play, especially when being the away side.
it should always be better for players on low ping, and stop accommodating people thinking they are so good being gifted wins with bad servers accommodating these high ping WiFi players. Don’t get it on any other game that I can recall

I wrote 5 paragraphs, and made a few different points, so I'm unsure what exactly "simply isn't true" & what am I "flat out wrong" about?
Your response doesn't really seem to be talking about the same points the OP (or my reply) is, so it doesn't really help me figure out how any of it relates to what I wrote.

The OP is discussing the fairness and competitiveness of playing people with different pings - as is my reply.

You seem to be talking about general input response.

Anyhow, your pings are similar to mine, in fact slightly lower. I generally have pings around 35ms at the low end and 50ms at the high end, & I have absolutely no issues controlling what I do, nor even think about what ping my opponent has. It's a non factor. Them having a ping that is 15ms quicker than mine isn't going to decide the outcome of the match. It's such a miniscule amount of time.
It's not until it reaches towards 100ms that it's even really noticable in anyway, and even then it's not too hard to adjust to cope with the tiny amount of extra delay.

Well, that's certainly your opinion from your post, yes.
It's not what I said though - I didn't generalise and say it doesn't effect game play at all - and that part of the post was one of a few different points I made, so I imagine you giving a blanket statement such as "you're wrong" in response to multiple points is probably where the confusion began.

I didn't say it isn't making any difference. It will of course effect game play slightly, but we are talking such small amounts that it really shouldn't be making a massive difference, especially with pings 50ms and below. A human can't even react to anything remotely close to 50ms.

At least that's my experience, and my opinion. You are more than entitled to your own, and you don't have to agree with me, however my experience and opinion are not "flat wrong".

If we play via LAN or from one console, I will beat you 10 times out of 10, but when you are 10,000 kilometers away and there are no normal servers and plus ping 40 and above, I can't do anything
