Questions about Seasons

Hi guys,

I have played Seasons for several years now but I could never understand several things about it. I hope someone can clarify (and fix) them. For context, I have reached Division 1 and won all the cups for at least 10 years and have been around the 3,000-10,000 rankings depending on my play frequency.

1) a) What is the difference between the Seasons rankings and the Top 100 rankings? Would the Seasons one be only for players that play Seasons and the Top 100 would include FUT and/or other modes so we know the ranking across all modes?

1 b) What is the number of points won for every criteria in Seasons (Cups, Division titles etc) and how are the criteria in Top 100 weighted (for example the first player does not have the best ratio of Wins vs Draws versus Losses or the most Wins overall or the best goal average per game). 

2) I always get 5 stars eventually but what is the criteria? Because even when I win all trophies (all division titles, cups including the Women one) I am still at 4.5 stars and the 5 stars just appear after I play more games but it cannot be random, can it? So what are the criteria to reach each half star?

3) I cannot find the option to copy a Team Sheet from Options to Seasons. I always play with the same formations/tactics so it would really help if I knew how to do it. If it is not currently possible, why and how hard would it be to implement it?

4) Players get updated in their Club Teams depending on their form pretty often but this is not reflected on the International squads. (For example, today on April 1st, Luka Ivanusec from Feyenoord is 78 but only 76 in the Croatia squad). Why are these changes not reflected in real time? Are players from International Squads "technically" not the same players as the ones in clubs. How hard would it be to change that? It is unfair, especially when International Squads can play against Clubs but mostly it‘s just that it makes sense that if they are updated in clubs they should be instantly updated in their national squad because they are the same person?

5) a) For International Squads rosters, there are currently 26 players, 11 on the pitch, 7 on the bench and 8 in the reserve so 26 players. Usually there are 23 players in an International Squad but from what I understand you keep it to 26 (even after the 2022 World Cup) so players that are injured that would be in the team if they were not (Thibault Courtois in Belgium or Ivan Perisic in Croatia who both torn their ACL for example) and recent call-ups that are good but did not make the latest list can be included. Because there is one empty slot on the bench (7 players), I suggest you increase the limit to 27 players overall. It would look better from a UX point of view and it would be a bit fairer as Clubs often have more than 30 players.

6) a) 8 players should be allowed on the bench as all the big championships and international competitions allow more than 7 substitutes on the bench. It would still look good with UX with 2 full lines vs 1 full line and one with 3 players and give us a bit more choice for substitutions.

6) b) Why are players not in the same order on the bench during the game vs before the game. I like to order them from GK to Striker in descending order but they are always mixed during the game before I make changes. How difficult can it be to keep the same order or is there a reason for this?

6) c) During Cups (EA Shield, Premier Cup etc), the number of changes is limited to 5 during the 90 minutes (as per international rules and like any division game) but the 6th change possibility during the Extra Time is not available. Could this be added? It‘s the official rule and would help a lot (it also gives another reason to have 8 players on the bench)

7) All Cups are mixed. What I mean is that if I enter a EA Shield Cup (available for all divisions), I can play any game against someone who entered a Premier Cup or any other cup. Apart from being unfair to lower cups/divisions, it really does not make sense. I understand it is probably done so players can find a match faster but I would rather wait a bit more and play against someone who entered the same kind of cup. In the Women International Cup (that, let‘s be real no one plays, only hardcore guys like me that want all the trophies in their History sections, I played someone in Round of 16 then I played them again in Quarter Finals but this was their Round of 16 again. I don‘t mind playing the same player in quarter finals if they did qualify again winning a Round of 16 as I realize few players play this cup but this was either a bug or going too far in my opinion)

8) A Free Win, Extra Match and Draw were recently added (last couple of years?) for each season, I have not tried it with the Extra Match and Free Win as I add them by default in the beginning of each season but when I am missing a point to either stay in the division or win the Title and use the Free Draw, it is not available for the next season. I assume it is a bug as this resets/creates a new season where all 3 should be available?

I don‘t know if someone from the community can answer all this and if not how could it reach a EA FC person that could?
