its new this year...on advanced u have two options..to go for a tackle or to body the player and win the posession...look for some tutorial..i am on tactical atm / the old style...but i might try the advanced if i will struglle...advanced make the big cbs relevant when they have the bruiser or intercept playstyle

Finished my 10 hours trial and still don't know what to think about this game.

To every good game I had, I played some others really boring against idiots abusing the same idiots plays from every year.

I am not sure if worths for me buy this game or not.

I'm genuinly steamrolling through divisions since friday. Almost in 5 now, have lost 1 game since getting to division 7. 

Also have got about 150k coins after SB rewards where I packed Musiala and I still have 1 spot for a bought player.

Thinking about getting Litmanen or maybe another hero/icon/big player for the RCM role. EVO Van der Boomen is pretty good, but I want a new shiny toy.

Although I could also get Mertens RTTK.

And can this thread be renamed the non-meta formation thread?

Hello guys, been searching for the non-meta thread for ages! Formerly JOHN_D_EFC from the old thread (obviously haha)

Great to see some of the regulars still here :D 

This is what I'm using this year.

Qualified for this weekend WL.

Instructions:

GK: Sweeper keeper, collect crosses

LB: Overlap, stay back

RB: Overlap, get forward

CDM: Stay back, cover centre, deeplying playmaker

LW: Cut inside, get in behind, get in the box

RW: Get in behind

CF: False 9

Tactics:

I keep getting players that fit the team perfectly, with Modric being one of the best. He's made for that RCM role and I can't see myself replacing him any time soon. The RW is a bit suspect though and I wouldn't mind replacing him.

Adding this to the locker room so more can enjoy this useful guide.

Packed some.good  boys now:

RTTK Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Rúben Dias, Parejo, Tchouameni.

But now I don't know what path I will follow from now on. I can go for a PL team, or a Portuguese team.

I was using the 433(5), but it wasn't working good with Giroud.  Now I changed for my another favorite formation 4321. 

I hope pack something good tomorrow

Terrible packs today. Best pull was some 87 Bayern woman and Rudiger.

Maybe I will spend some time doing the advanced SBCs.

I've got myself RTTK Mertens (bought), but I have grown unreasonably attached to my Evo Mertens (first owner, who has 5* wf). I think I will keep RTTK Mertens, in case he gets the upgrades.

Buying players still bores me. I have got Alderweireld's IF to pair up with Vertonghen and along with Wieffer, that would make up my 3 bought players.

@bertkees I like him. Good bsll.control, good passes. He is a bit slow for a winger, but I moved him because Banini has some defensive capacity. But for the way we play, he does de job well.

I am looking for that Mertens, always love his cards. 

What do we think of Berbatov as a false 9?
