You need to equip another kit first before you can discard the gold ones you selected at the start.

- @Hagooey thank you for replying, how do you equip different kits on the web app?
- @FrazzleDrip23 on the home tab, do to "stadium" and then the "club" tab... if you have kits then you will be able to set a new one as active and then proceed to discard the starter ones
