stupid goalkeepers
The goalkeepers make mistakes all the time. When they rush out they miss the ball or they're really slow. They can't grip the ball. And they can't catch balls at corners etc. Do you have any complain...

@Andrewrg2 That doesn't explain how the opposition keeper saves pretty much every shot that you would usually score from and your keeper plays like it's the first time he's ever seen a football or vice versa. The amount of blunders Alisson has made for me is unreal. The commentators say "And the goalkeeper was badly at fault". I would rather concede a goal from a mistake I made, not one the games AI decides to make.
@MikeBru2102 I know it doesn't but unfortunately it is the only reason I have for goalkeeper AI currently. Sometimes it will be my goalkeeper that's great and others it's the opposing goalkeeper. It's the same with all of the AI. I often find my AI behave better when I have better ping though, when it comes to EA and reasoning there is none.
As I've stated before this is one of the many reasons people speak about scripting, the only things I can think of are possibly winning or losing streaks affecting the level of AI support you receive. That is based on the fact that not really defending yourself seems to force the AI to defend better, and it's highly possible that the game has some sort of coding to account for people needing extra support. I don't know anything about coding or programming and couldn't actually tell you anything other than my guesses.
Realistically I believe that EA need to go back to basics and rebuild the game from the ground up, because each game is essentially a reskin with some changes and additions it is conceivable that new parts of code clash with old parts and they haven't dealt with it. Using old coding is the only way for them to ship out a new game each year. What I believe they need is a version of the game that will last a couple of years so that they have time to analyse EAFC 24 coding and figure out what is causing all of these issues, it would also buy them the time to rebuild the game from the ground up, then with an extended beta testing period they could make sure that all of the coding meshes together and creates a smooth gameplay experience.
The only problem is that they would have to give up on everyone buying a new version of the game for a year, and I have my suspicions that the higher ups at the company wouldn't want to see the amount of money they receive be impacted in such a way. After all, how would they afford to have their big bonuses and salaries if they didn't receive the money from this game for a year? (It's a rhetorical and sarcastic question, they have more than enough money to afford such a thing.)
