Unplayable. I dont have fun with this game anymore
From what I can see the AI in defence is WAY to strong, it is actually so strong that even when you are defending you feel that the players are not moving in your input direction, just so they can jump the attacker, and I have turned off auto switching move assistance. Some other examples of what makes this unplayable for me right now.
1. Players standing still when you pass it to them, so the other team takes it, even tho your player was clearly open. You cant even run towards the ball, because when you are the player that is reciving the ball, some kind of mechanic forcing you to stand on the spot until the ball is there.
2. This is a bit tricky to explain, but it is also regarding passing. Earlier I tried a quick pass, but I could clearly see that the opponents defender change direction from the player it was already marking and run to cut out the pass/mark my player before my player even sent the pass. It is like the AI would use wall hack in a shooter game. Its like it reads my input, delay the pass a tiny second, then went to mark my player, and after this it released the pass.
3. The extreme delay, and sometimes not even registering inputs. Other games dont have an issue at this scale.
4. 71 depth, that makes the opponents attacker act like Maldini.
5. The constant bounce back to the opponent when you are defending. And this is so weird, because in point 4, the 71 depth, when you get sorrunded by the opponents attacker, they always take the ball, it does not bounce back to you. It is like when you defend manually you cant take the ball, but if you let the AI do it, it actually gathers it.
6. The wingers runs in to the middle of the pitch when defending. This is the other reason everybody is playing down the wing, where the first is that your players are standing still when you pass to them. I think this is a big bug, because I tried a tactic earlier with a offensive midfielder, and set the player to "come back in defence", while the two central midfielder had "cover center". The offensive midfielder ran straight back to defending in the middle, so one of the central midfielder was push more to the side.
7. With advanced defending when players use R1+X, the defender sometimes get an enormous speed burst.
8. "The pull" in the game. I can feel a player charging me, even tho they are 5-10 meters away, especaly the better defenders like Van Dijk. My player are suddenly very slow, and can hardly turn. This must be turn WAY down. I understand the concept of a better defender making an attacker feel pressured, but that is when they are actualy close to you.
I know this a problem for so many people, and the community has been saying the defending AI is to strong for years, and lets be honest when it is hard to score against an opponent that puts the controller down, something is wrong. Why it is like this I dont know, maybe its hard to code it differently, but untily they manage to do so, they should at least turn the AI down to professional when you play other people, so we actualy can feel we are playing the game.
