Why are there skilled player in lower levels?

I have been playing UT for some years and this is by far the most unpleasant version.

DOES ANYBODY KNOWS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY HIGH SKILLED PLAYERS IN LOWER LEVELS OF RIVALS????????

I am definitely not the best player out there, I am ok, But I am getting severely beaten with a decent squad in level 8!!!

I have never experienced anything like that on previous versions.

Did the entire world just gotten really good suddenly and I happen to be excluded??

WHAT IS GOING ON???? Are other players experiencing the same?

    @michelseita I would not really called them skilled tbh, what I will say however is that the game has been made a lot harder because of the insane and 100% overpowered pressing mechanic, I have totally outplayed many, many teams yet still lost because I do not wish to play the same way everyone else is calling the "meta" way, which currently is sprinting down the wings and doing a cutback whilst on the side of the goal, they score easy goals that way.

    I recall a game where my expected goals was like 9 and my opponents was like 2, yet he actually won 2-0 simply because he was quite happy to play the boring cutback way, while I was trying to play beautiful football. It is a mess at the moment, not sure, maybe it will balance out once we start to get more powerful cards, I must say you REALLY need to have the very best defenders or you are going to get toasted.

    I have had a lot more success once I got 2 top quality wing backs with near maximum sprint speed. Also think both of your central defenders should have the anticipate AND the jockey playstyles.

    Everyone says "oh playstyles are so important this year" but no one actually tells you which players need those playstyles, but in terms of defenders, thats my 2 cents.

    Also use the "hug the sidlines" tactic because everyone is pressing like a maniac you need to be able to hit the ball out wide as often as possible to escape the pressure.

    Still working on ways to counter this silly pressing mechanic, I do not have all the answers yet, but I am getting there!

    This right here is everything that is wrong with eafc.. This insane high press meta * ruins this game. Im not saying high press should not be an option because it is one part of football but 90 minutes of this, all game, every day. Log out. 

    Stamina drain should be drastically higher when using this tactic. Imagine running around the football field like a jason statham on crank 90 minutes.
    Anothes discussion should be that theres no room on the field. Players catch you up so so fast even when you think you have room.

    Nothing against high skilled players being in low levels although is an awful way to play, but I deem myself as a higher skilled player, I’ve only ever played 2 champions thing and won 75% of my games.

    this year I’ve only played rivals literally for the challenges for XP. 
    I’m sorry if I’ve played you, as I have smashed many players. My record is 19-1 in rivals. 
    because I personally hate that mode

    im all about squad games tbh, because it’s a way for me to remove the stress from my life
