99 connection quality but multiple disconnections in Champions Finals
For the past few weeks I have lost at least 2 games in every Champions finals, plus several others in Rivals, due to disconnection.
The game reports that I disconnected and that there is a problem with my connection. However my connection quality report gives the highest score of 99. This has also happened with my Xbox Series S being connected to the router via Ethernet cable. I have high-speed fiber internet and experience stable connection with other games.
I have also had similar problems happening while I was playing Squad Battles using Remote Play. EA FC 24 lost connection to the server, blaming the internet connection for my Xbox, while my Xbox was successfully streaming to my mobile device. This is evidence that the connection was fine on my Xbox’s side, and the problem could only be on the EA servers’ side.
Further evidence that the problems are server-side is the fact that, despite my ping (which I have displayed in overlay) being consistently under 25 ms, there is often visible input lag when I move my players, and there are many instances of unnatural bounces and the ball speeding up while it is in flight, which is further evidence of problems with the speed of the server or its connection.
It is unfair that server issues are blamed on the player, and that in-game rewards are lost as a result. Server issues should never result in a loss for the player.
