Cant make subs in squad battles, cant exit the menu meaning forfeiting the game

seem to be unable to make substitutions in the first half, and even in the second second half I went to the team management menu and it won't allow me to back out of it and won't actually make the subs I want meaning I have to reset the game and it forfeits the result.
I am using PS4, I have reset the game and console several times and it is still glitched, also tried it across several matches and its the same
