Career mode objectives broken

I have been playing a very satisfying career mode with plymouth argyle. I'm almost a decade into it. Just won the premier league and champions league. But got terminated at the start of the next season. Wtf. This issue has been a problem for the last couple editions of the game and needs sorting ASAP.
