Apologies it's not a fix to your issue but does fc24 support the use of controller on PC. You say the only issue is moving through menus

Another problem is pressing the L1 (ps controller) button. Some of the times when I press L1, it registers L1 more than the amount I pressed. This is extremely annoying when going through the menus in ultimate team and when switching players in a match. There has been various occasions where I click L1 to switch players, but because the game registers the action more than once, I end up cotrolling another player.
Now, the troublshooting for the L1 problem, I've played fifa23 for about 800 hours and I have never experienced this problem. I have also not experienced this problem when plaing other games. So I'm pretty sure it is not my controller. Also, I have tried opening fifa through the EA app, big screen on Steam, and using DS4Windows, but none of them fixed the issue.
I post this to see if anyone has experienced theses issues and hopefully they can be fixed.
but when in your in a game do you have any controller issues?
I found a solution, but it’s a bit annoying. You have to remove other devices that are plugged in through usb so that you can go through these menus. However, it should work without having the necessity to remove other devices. Hopefully, it gets fixed.
But switching players still does not work all the time.
