EA FC 24 insane lag and stuttering after new patch

I'm a PC user and after the latest FC 24 patch my game is completely unplayable. It was running really smoothly and perfectly fine the day before, whereas now it's lagging to the point where I can't ...

Yes also with playstation 5, offline and online!!!

Yeah, I should have mentioned that I play offline modes.
