The servers and lag are absolutely awful. I live near servers, have all the best inputs and internet speed money can buy, all other games and streaming works fine. Except FC 24. Once again your servers are trash.
Any chance you guys will ever correct this or is this just the continuing norm moving forward.
EA does not deserve the fan base and support it gets from the community. You do not deserve our money. You can’t even get online play right.
Alternatives are improve your home network with a router with geo fencing. Opening ports has always been the best way to improve online game play. Changing you nat to open instead of moderate or strict will improve game play on most games. Also a lot of games share the same ports. Understand how it may be frustrating to some users as its how i learnt to do this myself because of the same frustrations. Always play via cabled network never wireless unless your willing to pay £300 for a router which is extreme as you should be able to get a smooth online experience from the router your isp supply. Certain routers allow you to open ports in three steps but again these are costly upgrades. Upnp is active on most routers but security isnt the best and it still blocks access to certain ports that are needed. So thats the only option to get a better experience. As i say in a previous post avoid pings over 16ms the lower the ping the better the game play. 10-16 is playable however you will get the odd game where a standard 70 paced player will turbo past your 95 paced player 😂 annoyingly.
Appreciate the info on routers and inputs and ports. But is this really what it’s come
to? Manually altering inputs so one game can work correct? Actually I know EA servers have problems with other games to. My understanding is it has always been about what EA is willing to pay and for how many users, ie more users means EA has to spend more. Instead of giving everyone a good game play they crame and cap space causing awful gameplay because they don’t want to exceed certain amounts. Money. All about money.

old thing since they moved to servers. It’s just the new norm. EA = bad online experiences.

Look on port forwarding website ir google them for your system. Different for each platform. You also need to set your ip to static on your router and manual on your device. Also turn upnp off. Once done reboot your router after saving and platform you game on and you will be good. Only play games with 10-16ms ping otherwise you will get lag but you will get better pings doing what ive said.
I agree, same crap every single year. Every other game I own is fine, play FIFA and I get kicked out all the time.
Then when you question them they send the same copy and paste rubbish. “Have you tried turning your internet off and on again.”
