FC 24 updated but now won't load

My son plays FC Mobile on a Kindle Fire. When he tried to open it yesterday it says it needed an update. I downloaded the update at a cost of £3.24 but now the game still won't load and is just stuck on the 'Getting warmed up' screen. I've cleared the cache, deleted pretty much all other apps and obviously restarted everything. Still nothing.
