FC24 Anti-cheat Unexpected error

I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I’ve encountered while playing a game that I purchased through the Epic Store.

Game Details:

Game Title: FC24
Platform: PC
Purchase Source: Epic Store
Issue Description: Until recently, I was able to play the game without any problems. However, suddenly, I started receiving an error message from the anticheat program (as shown in the attached screenshot). Despite my efforts to resolve the issue by following various online fixes, the problem persists.

Error Message: The application has encountered an unexpected error

Steps Taken: I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Verified game files through the Epic Store launcher.
Updated my graphics drivers.
Disabled any third-party software that might interfere with the game.
Performed a full system reset on my PC.
Unfortunately, none of these solutions have resolved the issue.

System Information:

Operating System: Windows 11 Professional
PC Reset Date: 20-02-2024
I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. I couldn't attached the Crash dump file as file type is not allowed . If there are any additional steps I should take or if you require further information, please let me know.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. I appreciate your help in getting back to enjoying the game.

  • Forget about playing this game. Now you're doomed like many of us. EA doesn't care and furthermore, they have begun shutting posts related to this in this forum. Cheers!

  • Same here. Only difference being that I purchased the game this week through the EA app and had this issue from the get go. Also tried multiple solutions (Secure Boot, Digital Signature Enabling for the Game Service Launcher, Re-installing Anticheat, Re-Installing the EA app as well as the game, etc). Nothing seems to work. I looked at the dump file and it indicates the following:

The fault address in not in any loaded module, please check your build's rebase
log at <releasedir>\bin\build_logs\timebuild\ntrebase.log for module which may
contain the address if it were loaded.

It seems like the EAAntiCheat_GameServiceLauncher is having issues at startup associated with trying to execute a file, but it's receiving an access violation error. This could be due to either the memory address not existing or the AntiCheat no having executable rights at the mentioned address. I've tried disabling firewall protections that could be impeding this (such as App & Browser Control under Windows Security Settings), but with no success.

The Windows version I'm using is Windows 11 23H2 Build 22631.

This doesn't seem like a trivial debugging process and I don't think we'll be able to debug it on our end. I'd assume EA will have to lunch an update to fix this issue.
