Game keeps freezing in squad menu

I'm on PS5. I can't assemble a team without the "PLAYER VIEWS" under HELP popping up causing the game to freeze. I've restarted my console several times, shut it off, etc. 

I thought we could turn off all tips and help, but can't seem to find this anywhere. 

I've been playing EA soccer games literally since 2006. This has never happened once. 

I just can't figure out how to bypass this. 

I even tried creating a new squad. Once I added my 5th player, the ridiculous "PLAYER VIEWS" tip popped up again with no way to hit x or o to back out and move on. 

Is this happening to anyone else? And how do I fix this?
