Green player indicator - can we change it?

Sorry if this has been raised previously but I couldn't find it in the forum. During the Beta, the green player indicator made it really difficult for me to process the right-stick switch quickly. Can we have the option to switch it back to red/blue or alternatives? 

I've seen turning off the 'next player' icon as a potential "fix" but it's not ideal for those that use L1/LB. It all seems a bit of an accessibility backwards step.
