International Cup Game/Contract Renewal glitch

In EA FC 24 career mode, I am unable to renew my contract or transfer to another team. 
I am in the middle of the International Cup, and because I have a game the same day as the "End Season" prompt occurs, I am unable to accept a contract or advance in the International Cup. 
The buttons that say "Stay with team" and "Tranfer" are missing on this screen.
