Is PS5 version of FC24 compatible on crossplay with PS4?

Some friends of mine have PS4 and want to play EA FC24 against me and other friends on PS5.

Before I buy can you let me know if this is possible. It would seem odd to have to buy PS4 version if that's the only way to do it??

    Hey @J7AISDAGOAT,

    The PS5 and PS4 versions of the game would not be able to play together, however both the Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition of the game come with dual entitlement, as seen here.

    If you're playing on PS5, you'll just need to use this to download the PS4 version of the game to play with friends on PS4.

    I have the same problem, just got the physical version on ps5 but no option to download ps4 version at all

    Hi, my friends have the ps5 version of fc 24 and my other friends play on ps4. They have tried to download the ps4 version on ps5 but they say it won’t let them.

    Hi, I have the same problem... I just got the physical version on ps5 but I cannot play with my friends that they have the ps4 !
    I cannot find any ps4 version to download...
    What we have to do ? Buy  the same game again ?
    IS THAT LOGICAL ???

    I've bought the disc for PS4. I want to buy ps5, so is the disc compatible with PS5(New gen edition), or do i have to buy another copy. I want to buy the disc compatible version of PS5

    Everytime I try to log into the ps4 version, it says I can't play ultimate team because I play on the PS5 version.

    any updates here?

    I have the same problem. I bought FC25 PS5 disc (standard edition), I installed it.
    When I choose 'Select version', The PS4 version has a lock icon, and it prompts me to buy it in the PS Store....
