Manager won’t start Neymar in player Career

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Join a team with a star player but one that runs an odd formation
What happens when the bug occurs? I joined Al Hilal in my career mode, I play RW and Neymar plays LW, these positions don’t exist in their formation and when I joined, Neymar was and still is 20 games later on the bench. He has 100 fitness and is match ready, but he won’t start. I changed to a midfielder to see if it would help, and he still won’t start. Entire reason I joined the team and now I can’t play with him. There is a 58 overall CF on the team, but 89 overall Neymar can’t find a spot. I even switched to striker so that I wasn’t taking any midfield/winger spots, and still nothing.
What should be happening instead? He should start
