Player Upgrade

I upgraded a player and was very sure of the probability at 80% but because after upgrading i didn’t add any skill and was too quick to hit continue just to realize my player didn’t upgrade. We all know how hard it is getting an overall 91 universal player. Losing 4 at a time when you’re right isn’t worth it. Please help!
