Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? You just need to start a game in career mode (it happens in player mode or manager mode), set the difficulty to the highest.
What happens when the bug occurs? The opponents play completely passively, as if the difficulty level were the easiest. The midfielders are passive, and the defense doesn't cover spaces. Moreover, the goalkeeper doesn't dive for the ball, and often, you can just run into the goal with the ball.
What should be happening instead? The opponents should pressure you while you have possession of the ball and try to steal it from you on many occasions if you make mistakes. The goalkeeper should at least dive for the ball, and the defense shouldn't let you pass so easily
I've attached a video where I'm not making an effort to play well, and in some instances, I don't even run with the player to see if any defender approaches me.

I have the exact same issue.... CPU doesnt play in game.... simply stands still...
no matter what level of game difficulty I select , even legendary or ultimate... >>> same issue.... CPU does not compete...
I go pass his players and score 20-25 goals per game
EA > PLEASE FIX THIS BUG IN CAREER MODE! !!!!!
