Black screen mid game and pc makes loud fan noise as if it is restarting
Hello EA Support,
I am experiencing a persistent issue with EA FC 24. During gameplay, my screen turns black, and my PC emits a loud fan noise. The PC’s LEDs remain on, and the fan noise continues as if it is trying to restart, but the screen stays black and unresponsive. I cannot use the keyboard or mouse, and attempts to reset the graphics driver with Windows Control + Shift + B result in a beep with no further response. The only solution is to forcefully shut down the PC by holding down the power button and then restarting it. The issue can happen any moment it can happen when it has been an hour or even 5 minutes
This issue only occurs with EA FC 24 and started recently. I have not encountered similar problems with other more demanding games, including games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Microsoft Flight Simulator. The GPU temperature during these incidents remains normal, around 82 degrees Celsius, and I have verified that the GPU is not overheating. I sent the pc to the company that built in and they could not find any issue on their end.
I have tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue:
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the EA anti-cheat software.
• Repairing and updating the anti-cheat software.
• Verifying game files.
• Turning on Core Isolation as recommended online.
• Attempting various in-game settings adjustments, including reducing graphics quality.
• Updating drivers,bios and windows.
• adding the game folder as an exclusion in windows defender.
None of these solutions have resolved the issue. The problem persists despite these efforts, leading me to believe that it might be related to the game itself rather than my hardware.
Given that my PC warranty will expire in November, I am concerned that if this issue turns out to be related to my PC which I find unlikely, I will incur additional costs for repairs after that date. I would greatly appreciate it if you could address this problem before November or provide a solution that does not require further expenditure on my part.
