Yeah, it ruined the dutch for me last year as well, In FIFA's past I would always scout until I could find a dutch striker with a surname that had the "Van" prefix, the next Van Basten, Van Nistlerooy, Van Persie et cetera, and in years past there were a ton of Van "X" names in the name pool, now it's just Van Djik, that's it. I'm just gonna keep replying to this thread and my other one re:youth academy player heights by position until it either gets responded to or I get banned or something, what else can we do?
It'a frustrating because I know these are problems that modders have easily fixed on the PC versions, so I don't understand why they still exist in the official release, the mods can't fix these bugs on my Series X.
I've just tested this again now that the game is out of early access and released world wide, this bug is still occuring, please look into this EA
So many stupid things that break every iteration, why can’t they just refresh their broken code and start making actual fixes for the causes of the inevitable bugs that appear.

@sleepwalker20088 What's most frustrating is that I know modders on the PC version have fixed this issue for PC players, so EA really can't say this is some super unfixable problem
It's been a real problem since Fifa 23, the names for the youth academy players (but also for the regen) are wrong for several countries, especially the African countries who only have first names as surnames (Marocco, Algeria etc ...) and eastern european countries like Ukraine who share 3 surnames (only 2 on the 23) what a shame.
At this point I'm not sure this is a BUG I think it's actually a feature.
Would love the option to edit the youth players names if this was a deliberate decision to shrink the name pool for all countries
The update has just been released and still no repair.
