Striker gone missing in FC24 career mode

Hi

Just been playing career mode with my normal team, went to sim two matches and then went to play another match to find my striker has been completely removed from my career mode. He’s not in my squad hub or my team management. Even searched for him in search players and no sign.

What’s going on with this? Shouldn’t be happening for a game that costs the best part of £50 year in year out.
