Why does my FC24 keep disconnecting even though i have stable internet

I keep disconnecting from the EA servers every 5-10 minutes. Never had this issue until Tuesday I played someone on champs and was winning, he held the ball with his keeper not moving then I disconnected but only from EA not Xbox or anything else. I can only assume he kicked me off the servers and it’s been broken ever since. Can’t stay in a game or stay in the menus as it kicks me off the servers. All other games work 100% fine, I have wired connection and the whole rest of the year the game has worked fine. What’s happened as it’s now unplayable????

    @PriceyWwfcXI 

    This isn't due to someone disconnecting you. It's the packet loss on your connection causing it. Did you try alternate DNS settings as mentioned in the troubleshooting steps here? Have you also contacted your ISP to have them do some testing on your connection to see if there are any issues?

  • I have checked the forums and many are having the same issue, you say it’s my packet loss but saying it’s because others have a wireless connection. My internet has been the same all year, I’ve had the same small amount of packet loss and nothing has changed since last week so something must have changed on your end or the server I am connecting to? I tested my internet on Xbox and it also said 0% packet loss?

    Connections tend to fluctuate so you aren't necessarily having packet loss all the time. Again, did you try using alternate DNS settings? Also, I still recommend you actually speak with your ISP to have them test your connection.

  • Hi there,

    still having the same issues. I have changed to different DNS settings but still randomly disconnecting. Very worried now this will carry over to next year and won’t be able to play the game. Keep reading the forums and people are having the same issue which started a week or 2 ago which seems strange. Any advice on what to do next?

    I've got the same issue on PS5 but it doesn't allow me to connect to anyone to raise a ticket!

    Did you speak with your ISP to see if they are noticing any issues?
