"You already have an evolved version of this player" Evo error - New Thread

Which mode has this happened in? Ultimate Team™
Which part of the mode? Evolutions
Can you tell us the date (MM/DD/YYYY) that you saw the bug? 03/19/2024
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 10:00 an
What is your time zone? PST - GMT - 8:00
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In evolutions. I cannot put Cesinha or David Neres into any new evolutions.
What happens when the bug occurs? Every time I try to put David Neres or Cesinha into a new evolution, I get the error, "you already have an evolved version of this player". Then it kicks me back to the evolution main page.
What should be happening instead? I should be able to evolve my players...

I'm starting a new thread as it's been months and EA still hasn't done anything about this. Now it's affecting my best evolutions.

  • I am trying to evo my Stefan Bajectic he fits all the parameters but I get a error saying I can't because I already have a variant, he is the only variant I've ever done of him, is there a fix for this, Eahelp has just blanked me every time I have messaged them, or have evos been * for everyone wanting to do them normally now because people where trying to scam the system with the 99 evos and that. 

  • I have the same error, and it's the only version i have of that player. People post about this bug everyday since november and it's never been adressed

    • Evolution you're trying to activate: Fullback Swap 
    • Name, Rating, and Version of the Item you're selecting for this Evolution: The evolution I was attempting to do was for my Pervis Estupiñan card that was evolved already with with Detailed oriented evo and relentless meets radioactive evo that brought him to a 87 overall. My card meets the criteria for Fullback Swap but I’m unable to evolve him due to a bug claiming I already have an evolution version of my Estupiñan which I don’t have. 
    • Do you have other versions of the same player? I use to have an evo version of Estupiñan but that version was placed on a sbc months ago 
    • Did you discard another Evo item of that player in the past? Yes, currently since my evo wasn’t working I decided to discard my current evo card but now I have the issue that when I quick sell recover my card, the system is claiming that the card is a duplicate so I’m unable to claim it. And it froze my access to my packs and the transfer market.

    • Did you discard another Evo item of that player in the past yes 
    • Error message received when you try to select the player: you already have an an evolution version of this player which yes I do but he fits the requirements so he should fit

  • Hi Ea, around a month or two into fc24 I had tried to evo Alejandro Garnacho but wasn’t satisfied with the card so I discarded it by quick selling it and then I bought a new one of the transfer market and tried to evo it up but ran out of time so it’s currently an in progress evolution. I tried to put him into the Moment of Truth evo but it said I “already have an evolution version of this player” so I thought if I quick sold it then recovered it off the web app then it could’ve solved the problem but now it’s just stuck in the unassigned pile and repeatedly says that I have encountered a network error or just doesn’t work at all, please fix this because I cant open packs and I don’t want to lose the card as I spent many games playing with that card which would’ve all been a waste of time if I lost it. I can’t even open player picks to make my team better and progress through the game so please help me. Thanks.

    What is your time zone? EST (IET) - GMT - 5:30
    How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try submitting relentless winger ansu fati into the new evo Moment of Truth
    What happens when the bug occurs? Message “You already have an evolution version of this player “ appears , despite having the right requirements for a chain evolution .
    What should be happening instead? Should be able to evolve

    Some people online have been able to submit it , however I can’t .
