Yup having the exact same issue.
Try to put Johnson into "generous goalscorer" and it tells me i already have an evolution version of this player.
previously I had * different Johnson card into "relentless winger 2" then found a better chain and quicksold him, so i presume that's the issue.
Seems like people have had this issue since October and they still haven't bothered to fix it.
That's the same issue i have. Already used russo for a previous evo, completed it, out it into an sbc and now there's another one i want to use her for (fresh gold card) but the game won't let me. I know i don't have the previous evo because it's no longer in my club yet the game is claiming it is still there
yeah I'm having the same issue with my martinelli in the 99 shooting evo I had an evo of him before but its long gone into an sbc
Feels to me like they've attempted to patch the "Leave the final step unclaimed so that you can put it into a separate evo to make an OP card" bug and they've ended up breaking evos from top to bottom
I've now got;
- Players that I evo'ed in the past and then got rid of them through SBCs, and I now can't do another evo from their gold card despite the previous evo not being in my club anymore
- Players that i've previously evo'ed, who now fit into a new evo, but it won't let me submit them into it because it says i've already got an evo version of that player
- Players that i've already done one evo for and are still in my club as fodder, but even if their base version fits into a brand new evo, it won't let you submit them because you already have a different version of that card
The fact that we're in April and all of this is still ongoing, suggests to me that it's not going to be fixed. Sadly the community are partly to blame for trying to abuse bugs to get 99 rated cards within the first few months of the game, but EA made an absolute hash of evolutions. Great concept, poor execution
The issue for me is that I never did this. I have a completed EVO player that fits in this, but it just wont let me select him. The whole point is to chain EVO players across the season... I thought so anyway.
