85 Evo Pepe, is it eligible if I don’t complete the Birthday Magic evo

I have an 85 Evo’d Pepe item that I just claimed the first level of Birthday Magic on, but I saw the 99 club shooting evo come out recently and want to put him in that. He is eligible, however he’s currently in the process of that other evo. If I wait until that Birthday Magic evo expires, without completing the other two levels, would I be able to put this card into that evo instead?
