Accessing my companion app UT on my PC (EAFC)

So for the start of the new ea fc cycle I decided to try and get ahead of the game by playing Ultimate Team just on the web and companion app. I then downloaded the EA app on my computer and with the help of EA Play was allowed to trial the game for the 10 hours before the actual release. This EA app uses the same login as my companion app and everything else EA but to my surprise when I tried opening UT in EA FC, it was asking me to start again and would mean I lose the progress I started on my phone. I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or knew how I can get my ultimate team from the companion app onto EAFC.

Also why does the Chat with us link of the EA help website not actually let you select the platform your problem is on, have tried it on multiple devices all with the same outcome.
