Batcha Red Evolution
I did the red fut champions on my rttk batcha. After doing it I noticed the tab that showed the progress of the card got removed. I am afraid my batcha will not improve if the card is improved.

you are probably correct. It is no longer a live card since you changed the type of card that it was. EA probably should have given a better warning that this would happen.
