I started evolving a player a while ago (Marco Reus), didn't finish completely but put him into an sbc I think? But now I can't evolve a gold version of the same player in a new evo bc I "already have an evolved version of this player"
@johnnestaForfeit (i.e. Discarding) in not an option in case of Evolution. Game allows you to have only one evolution path per player base card.

Buddy, multiple evolution slots means you can evolved your 80 rated base player into 83 and once first evo completes then you can put that into next evo which evolved them to 85 and so on.
so your player evo path goes from 80 > 83 > 85 > 87 > 90 and so on.
If you read same page completely then you will find section which suggest that you can not forfeit evo too. Join all these context and you will get idea how evolution works. I also wish my favorite player to evolve into 10 different evolution with 10 different playstayle and boost combinations. But this is not how game works currently. I am not saying I am entirely correct but this is my understanding.
All these things are linked and done intentionally to avoid all those stacked up evo of 99 rated cards which you must have seen on twitter.

No one asking for 10 different evo all we want is 1.I tell you what happening to me at the moment.
I have use crouch from day 1 of the game ,his first evo was a 87 which I did ,then a new evo came out for a 88 card with 2 play styles but the 87 would not fit into it so I discarded the 87 brought the base again and started the 88 evo ,so now the Jack of all trades evo needs the base card again so I discarded again like the previous time and brought the base crouch to go into the new 90 evo but this time I getting the error I already have an evo of crouch in my club which I don't anymore because I discarded him
A single evo path isn't an intentional game thing. I have two evo'ed joao Felix.
A normal one and the showdown.
They just are afraid to touch evolutions. It's as simple as that. They don't trust their code and are afraid to fix evos and suddenly there's a new meta evolution They didn't consider.
