@ajwilkins88 Not sure what ea can do. If you give people wins who are not winning that’s not a good solution either. Imagine getting top 100 and bumping someone who actually won their games. Imagine hitting the leaderboard and never winning an actual game.

It doesn't matter. In soccer, if you forfeit, it's a loss. Part of the reason people quit is because they fear. So then, why give them the loss but not the opponent the win? It's practically wasting their time.
Or say they miss a pen or 2 in shootout and leave, all that and you don't even get win let alone they still get wl point. Overall the gaming experience is actually better to quit when losing a shootout than it is to carry on that's how pathetic it is.
@RadioShaqs I know this is only a game, however several real life Situations have seen either a replay by both teams or the other is awarded the win.
Its not that hard a thing to sort out.
The game can surely tell if it's connection or quit. Seeing as we're constantly told, check your connection. I have the connection icons on during the game so I know when I've been quit on.
Comparing quitting to real life is probably not really a good comparison.
I thought ea should have stopped golden goal when it started by punishing people quitting. The problem was ea supported it and the community thought it was the greatest thing ever.
That was when this punishing others started be it because of how you played or rage quitting or the most common reason was because one person wouldn’t play golden goal.
That was when they could have really done something now it’s just part of the culture.
They need to implement a time out for quitters - You quit once and you cant start another game for 20 minutes.. quit twice in a day and you can't for 40 minutes.
I've played UT since the first edition but haven't really played the last few. This year I've picked it up at the end as its on sale to play a bit during the euros. I have gone from div 10 to div 5 and I think I've only completed one or 2 games. I'm annoyed by that as I'm now facing people who are better than me all because i usually go 1-0 up early then start making mistakes. Both games i finished i went 1-0 up early and ended up losing the game.
I can't IMAGINE how annoying that must be in W/L when you only have a limited time to play the games.

Same number of games as it was last year and I try where I can to play it all in one sitting to get it out of the way, but it takes me nearly double the length of time to complete as it did last year due to the sheer number of people that quit at a draw. I had one guy this weekend quit in the last minute of extra time
The only game mode I semi understand it in, is friendlies. If you're going into a friendly mode that's already a short game, and your opponent is just passing it around the back, keeping posession desperately and then auto pressing if they do lose it... it really does feel pointless seeing out the rest of the game even if you still have the chance of winning
