Friendlies not working on crossplay

Question

Both me and my friend have cross play enabled.

Both me and my friend have EASports FC Ultimate Team squads.

Both me and my friend are added as "friends" in game and can see each other in Friend Menu.

We can also see each other in Fifa 23 and play friendlies there.

Yet on EAFC24 we cannot play friendlies.

I am on PC he is on XBOX series X.

We have tried all the possible things listed currently online.

- Restart game

- Remove and Add friend

- Restart both console and PC

- Changing privacy settings

Any reasons why? Any ways to play each other in that situation?

We came up to a solution. Even though he was on Xbox Series X/S he had Xbox One EAFC24 installed.
