There definitely was. Many people reported the bug to EA and EA fixed it on Jan 19. You can find many posts about the unlimited rewards glitch in the Bug Reports sub.
However, the order has not been restored in the aftermath. The two-day glitch hadn't caused large-scale abuse around the world. But it brought about glitch abuse mania in China, which soured almost the whole FC24 community there. Game players are appealing to EA for action. Unfortunately, very few abusers' accounts are banned.
