Re: Pay to win garbage

@EA_LeonSKIF two people play against each other let’s call them player A and B and A spent a lot of money and has 95 rated all meta players and B only things from free packs and cheap market players (91 rated) and they both have the exact skill - who will win the competition?
One other thing the same connection. Because if the game is played on players B server and player A is from north of Sweden than it can go either way.

I got your point; in a situation where two players use the same tactic, same strategy, and have precisely the same skill level, you expect better players on the pitch to make the difference. But this is a hypothetical and impossible situation.

Also, we should consider our concentration level when we play Ultimate Team: You could have a day when you're more distracted and make mistakes or another day when you overperform, exceeding your expectations. This happens to real football players, and it may also happen to us when we play FC during the day.

It's impossible to face an opponent, and you both have the same skills, tactics, strategy to score and defend, and concentration level throughout the match.

Another prime example in Rivals today. A 2-1 defeat against yet another guy with a squad full of 96 players. He didn't make a single tackle himself in the entire game, 97 Mbappe made TWENTY interceptions. All he does is AI defend, get away with fouls, counter attack, get a couple of scruffy bounceback goals and watch his keeper turn into spiderman

When you combine pay to win with auto defending, the game becomes unplayable

This is one of the biggest problems with the game.
The inability of EA to explain to us why and how things happen.
I hate to say it but I am fine with attacked making interceptions constantly if there is a reason for it. For example, if this was directly correlated to their higher OVR, interception rating or def awareness rating, or a tactic or instruction that could be shared with the community. The problem is that it isn't, its something deeper in the game that EA wont come out and address.
The biggest examples this year were players like SAWA. Who, for some reason, did every single things better than any player in the game. I had here out-jump Rudiger and Van Dijk, tackle better than Maldini, and go from box to box all game while pressing (i have clips of this). All while being able to twist and turn better than modric or messi.
Right now Werner is not just coming back on defense when I play him. He is making the most unbelievable, from behind tackles, while maintaining control, then hitting a top speed on the second touch. I've been able to do this with the same exact player but in the same exact game, my opponents player will do it and mine wont, regardless of chem, chem style, tactics, etc.

  • Honestly I know it's your job to explain it like you did there, so fair play. But as a fifa player which I'm guessing you are, you cannot believe what you're writing lol. I've got golazo Roberto Carlos (luckiest pack ever), vidic, alexandri and vasquez at the back, decent back 4 I think. They can't do anything against 97 Messi, 97 haaland, any mbappe other than gold. Similarly every single one of my strikers is magnetically drawn to 97 van dijk if hes on the pitch. When you're of a similar skill level, money wins, simple as.

And slightly unrelated, the game rewards those who are spamming and exploiting broken tactics, like the corner glitch, or Finesse shots with anyone with finesse+. That's not do much pay to win, but still annoys me.

@Cam3131 THE SINGLE BIGGEST thing that EA could have sorted out, and refused too, AI defending. I'm now down in Div 6 and all I see are sweat fest players, skill spamming from KO, and refusing to use defenders due to the OP AI in the game.

@EA_LeonSK can you honestly say you have never come across a player who doesn't use their defenders? These are not skill players but players abusing a seriously broken programed game. I have a 91 rated team, only got the game in Black Friday, have not spent a cent on the game to try and gain any advantage...those who do spent ridiculous amounts may also be put in the spam category, not all, but some.

This version is seriously disappointing in the lack of work to fix it.

@Cowboyyy123 It’s 100% pay to win game, now more than ever. I read here on this forum that people spend lots of money to get 4 MacAllisters 4 Alissons 4 Banza (I got only Banza 2 myself but from free pack).
If EA will be able to make money on this game nothing will ever change. So I Guess it depends on us if they will continue to earn money selling what’s a nice word for crap? Garbage? You may call it as you like but let’s make a change, if even 50% of people will behave differently they will feel it in their pockets but only we can make them change their strategy. Stop ignoring people, I have asked lots of questions on this forum that never have been answered. People every day fight with this game, because it crashes 4 time a day at least, it doesn’t show you your cards as existing (my case was Xavi TOTY), and the list of the problems goes on and on. What has changed from last year? What did they manage to improve? Yes one thing. When you select someone for a change the game knows after few matches Who you change for who. Great. Keep up the good work EA.

Another day of rivals, another day of bugged, pay to win nonsense.

This is truly the most disgusting game ever made. If you could see some of the things that are happening in my games at the moment you would think it was a TV prank show.

Penalties given against me for winning the ball, every pass going the opposite way to where i'm aiming, opposition keeper being unbeatable while mine can't save shots straight at him, as usual the AI is doing absolutely EVERYTHING for the opposition but for me they'll ignore the ball when its going straight to them, every time i make a tackle the ball takes the most ridiculous bounce you'll ever see back to the opposition

There's no skill in this game. Games are decided before you've kicked a ball. The game developers who worked on EAFC24 should never be allowed to work on another video game again

  • And just like that.... i finally match up with some players that have non-p2w teams, and my gameplay goes back to being responsive and normal again

    Pretends to be shocked

Gameplay is just in shambles for everyone. I've never seen so many requests for refund on any fifa and I've been on the forums for over a decade.
20 was bad, 21 was worse, 22 even worse, 23 pretty much as bad as this year, and 24 is making a case for just about the worst game ever made. I want "seasons" back with live updates and predictable gameplay and competitive matches. The community just want to know what works and what doesnt and not have to change out players, tactics, and settings all year to get it to be playable. Even seasons is screwed this year because every game has lag, I think the only people playing it are on dial up or something.

  • @number5 On 22 and 23 I thought there were some issues that could have been fixed better (23 especially was the start of the auto defending era, but it was nowhere near as OP as it is this year) but generally speaking when they did patch updates, they ended up improving the gameplay rather than making it worse. Things like nerfing the corner and kick off glitches, the first time long ball over the top that was unstoppable etc..

I complained about those games at the time of playing them but with hindsight they were SO much better than the game this year. There was the occasional error with content or the occasional server outage during TOTS etc... but it was nowhere near as common as it is now. It's a weekly problem now
