Sorry I have a hard time comprehending this. You are paying essentially the game's price again, for 0,000001% of its content? 50$ to get just one player?! So you are probably spending ~1000$ to buy a full team?!
Just feels like an outrageous waste of money and it's not about being able to afford it, but about the non-existent value you get for your 50$.
