Revert Champions Red Evo

Revert Champions Red Aesthetic?

Basically the title. Does anyone know if you can revert a Champions red evo back to its original card design by quick selling and recovering the player? I’d like to change my Centurions Pirlo back to the original card design. I’ve heard this works but I only have one recovery left for the next few weeks and don’t want to waste it if it doesn’t work. TIA.
