SBC Softban and Pack Weight on EAFC

Hi,

I'm creating this topic to talk about the impressive amounts of SBC softbans people have been getting, myself included, since the beginning of TOTS, espcially with the addition of "unlimited repeatble" upgrade picks.

I can not comprehend, and will probably never will, the logic behind this softban system. The SBC grind during TOTS is a huge aspect of the promo, everyone wanting to pack their favorite players. But why do you try to stop us from "trying" to enjoy this game? I'm sure everyone is aware, but this years adition to the FC franchise is nothing short of disappointing, and stopping people from doing what they enjoy is pretty upsetting. Are the bans to limit traffic to servers, to stop overloading them? All I want is a simple explanation to that, which I will try my best to understand.

Second thing I would like to adress is the pack weight of certain of these promo cards.
The pack weight is alarmingly low, and let's not even try to talk about cards above a certain value. Some people who have loved the "FIFA" franchise and still do have completed an enormous amount of these repeatable SBCs in attempt to pack certain cards, but have been left with no results. Even, for example, 3000+ player picks in (80+, 81+, 82+), I have not acquired a single card worth over 800K on the market. That should be considered as shocking. I am just extremely disappointed by how the most anticipated promo of EAFC is turning out to be. I might pack a 15M coin card in the following hour, who knows, but these are the current "rewards" I have been left.

I am not writing this out of anger or frustation (maybe a little bit!), but more of disappointment. This is for sure a longer read than some other posts but this is truly how I feel on these topics.
To whoever at EASports reading this, thanks, and have a good day.

Yours sincerely,

An EAFC user

  • @6336469d5c331cbe I would guess cheating. It’s just like game limits and bid soft bans.

If people can’t slow down I can see them adding limits just like they did with games.
  • So, is doing an unlimited amount of "unlimited repeatable" player picks considered cheating? I don't understand how someone could be cheating by doing player picks either. EA shouldn't be setting them to unlimited in that case, they should put an hourly/daily cap if it's seen that way.

@6336469d5c331cbe It’s not doing them as you can do them 24/7 just not super fast. Just like everything else in game. How people cheat I dunno.

I can see them capping them to like 3 a day if people can’t slow down just like they did with games.
  • I suppose some people have bots do them over and over, therefore the softbans... too bad the bans concern 99% the wrong people, but oh well...

  • I'm having the same issue but on the web app only. The companion app works fine. EA should give us a clear explanation on how these soft bans work in order to avoid letting it happen because I really don't know why you would get soft banned by just simply playing this game. I don't know any other game that does the same thing.

  • Incredibly frustrating. Never banned before TOTS (not that i was aware off anyway)

Now, with the crafting objective my first ban was 22 hours.

Upon my return I did no more than 30 more and guess what, banned again.

Now at 10 hours and counting...

I only have limited times i can try and do the SBCs

If EA could make it clear what triggers the softban i will stay within the limits - is it 20 SBCs per hour, 30, 40?

Also why do the softban's differ - some banned for an hour, others 24 hours

    Just need transparency.
