AI on player career mode

I was playing as my player and the AI have no sense of attacking all they do is dribble back towards goal and not passing to the other AIs, I have to come out of position to call for the ball just for the AI on my team to decide to attack its like they can’t go past the halfway line or don’t want to go anywhere near it please fix this

My player passes the ball to a 99 ovr RW where the AI teammate is left with the goalkeeper. The AI hesitates to shoot and either results happen:
1) The 99 ovr AI misses the shot Or
2) The opposing GK takes the ball.
The only way my teammate scores is if my player passes the ball past the opposing goalkeeper.
